Open Vacancy Radar

Open source · Local-first · Windows

Scan the job market from your own machine.

Open Vacancy Radar searches Dutch and worldwide remote vacancies in one pass, checks Dutch employers against the IND sponsor register, and tailors your CV and letters through the Claude Code or Codex CLI you already use. Every application you track stays in a database on your own PC.

Free under the Apache 2.0 license. The installer is unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen asks you to confirm on first run.

How it works

From first scan to interview day, in four stops.

One local workspace carries each vacancy the whole way, from the moment it shows up in a scan to the prep pack you read before the interview.

  1. Scan

One search covers Dutch and worldwide remote sources. Official ATS APIs and structured feeds come first, and page parsing is only used where nothing better exists.

  2. Check

Roles in the Netherlands get a best-effort lookup on the IND public register of recognised sponsors. Other markets show that check as not available.

  3. Tailor

Pick a CV and a vacancy. Your own Claude Code or Codex session drafts a tailored CV and letter, and your original file stays as it was.

  4. Track

Saved jobs, applications, letters and interview prep share one local workspace that is still there the next time you open the app.

Features

Everything between the listing and the interview.

Discovery

One scan across the markets you care about.

Search the Netherlands and worldwide remote roles from a single query. Every source is researched first and checked against a written source policy. A source that forbids reuse or sits behind a login is left alone.

  • Ships with no preset role, country or salary. You set the search.
  • When a source leaves out the salary or posting date, the row says Not stated.
  • Save any result, or open the CV assistant on it straight from the list.

Employer verification, Netherlands

Sponsor checks that tell you what was checked.

For roles located in the Netherlands, the app looks the employer up by name on the IND public register of recognised sponsors. A name match is labelled as a possible match, because the legal entity behind a brand name can differ. Outside the Netherlands there is no equivalent register, and the app labels the check as not available.

  • A possible match shows the legal name and KVK number it matched on.
  • When no check ran, the card says so in plain words.

CV and letter tailoring

Tailored drafts from the AI you already pay for.

Open Vacancy Radar drives the Claude Code or Codex CLI that is already installed and signed in on your PC. The project never receives a password, token or API key. You choose the CV, the vacancy, the tone and the length, then edit the draft yourself.

  • Motivation letters, cover letters, recruiter messages and short application-form answers.
  • Your uploaded CV file is kept exactly as you uploaded it.
  • Prompts go to your chosen CLI's provider, under that provider's own terms.

Application tracking

A tracker that follows every application.

Move each application through Preparing, Applied, Recruiter screen, Interview and Offer, or mark it Rejected or Withdrawn. Every delete asks first and can be undone for a few seconds.

Interview prep

Prep that asks when your CV is silent.

Prep packs draw only on your CV and the notes in your workspace. When a story is missing its result, the pack turns the gap into a question for you.

Privacy
